Wax type 54C! Other paraffins are too gluey or too brittle! Dyeing with wax dyes. Pigments need relatively much heat for being melted! If wax keeps being too cold the colour will keep undissolved at the bottom! You can also melt pigments separately in a little amount of hotter wax.

Pouring on a wooden plate with a rim. You can either make the plates by yourself or buy them for instance on www.candlecraftcenter.com. The wax that will be poured should be quite cool. You can even wait until a film forms on the surface of the liquid wax.

Let the wax cool down until it’s mouldable but not too creamy. The right moment is very important for the following treatment!

If you are in a hurry you can also help yourself with a ventilator.

Cut the margins free with a scraper.
